We are excited to announce our annual event, Cincinnati Compass Presents Cincinnati Rhythm. It will be held on September 12th at Cincinnati Music Hall from 6 PM to 10 PM. This will be our fifth annual event, and we look forward to seeing you there. We will partner once again with Findlay Kitchen and its members to bring you delicious global flavors from local food-based entrepreneurs. Mark your calendars now and keep an eye out soon for ticket information and more details about the event. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please reach out. Thanks to our initial sponsors: P&G, Visit Cincy, and Duke Energy.
We invite you to check out the recent issue of REALM Magazine and its cover story, “Immigrants Propel the Economy,” to learn about how immigrants across the region create and lead businesses that grow our economies, meet crucial social needs, and are drivers of much-needed population growth. Among the business leaders highlighted are two Cincinnati Compass board members: Michelle Morales, Founder and CEO of Liona Enterprises, and Chukwuma “Chuma” Ekwueme, Founder and President of SURE Mechanical.
May is also Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Conveniently, Asianati has curated all the wonderful events happening around the region here – from films to art installations and community conversations, there is an event for everyone. In addition to highlighting events, the website provides information about organizations in the region serving AAPI communities. We also want to celebrate Asianati for another successful Asian Food Fest, a true gem in the Queen City’s crown. One of the co-chairs of Asian Food Fest and Asianati board member, Qorinah Wardhani, is also featured in the REALM article noted above.
We are thankful for organizations like Asianati in the Cincinnati region, as their endeavors not only fuel economic growth but also foster cultural exchange, enriching the tapestry of our collective experiences.

📈 The Vital Role of Immigrants and Refugees in the U.S. Food and Hospitality Industry |
Across the country, immigrants and refugees are vital to the food and hospitality industry. According to the American Immigration Council, immigrants make up over 22% of all workers in the U.S. food sector, despite representing just 13.7% of the population. In major metropolitan areas, that number climbs even higher. In the restaurant industry alone, immigrants own 37% of all restaurants, with many acting as first-time entrepreneurs who revitalize neighborhoods and introduce new culinary traditions. |

Two Women and their Journey of a Lifetime
| |
Come join us for an unforgettable evening with two incredible women as they share their inspiring stories of their Hajj experience.
Join fellow Muslim Americans and Empowering Spaces founders, Shakila Ahmad and Dr. Samina Sohail, in this visually engaging program sharing their Hajj experience. Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam, asking nearly 2 billion Muslims across the globe to perform this journey at least once in their lifetime if they are physically and financially able to do so.
With approximately 4 to 6 million Muslim Americans and about 50,000 in the Tri-State area, this is a wonderful way to learn about a significant life event for your Muslim employees, clients, partners, and friends. Some of them may be at Hajj right now as the pilgrimage this year ends on June 9th, 2025.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to be inspired and motivated by their journey of a lifetime!
