In uncertain times, one thing remains constant: the strength immigrants bring to our communities. Whether through entrepreneurship, business leadership, essential work, civic engagement, or cultural contributions, immigrants continue to drive innovation, resilience, and renewal. As we face today’s challenges, it's clear that welcoming and supporting immigrants is needed more than ever. It is not just the right thing to do—it’s a proven path to shared prosperity.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of immigrants in the region through the support of a strong, multisector welcoming infrastructure, is a smart and strategic investment in our future. Across the board, from workforce and small business development to talent attraction and retention, social service provision, and civic engagement, we need to ensure our institutions are well positioned to support immigrant and international communities. Immigrants come here to give and contribute, and, by supporting them, we all benefit.
We invite you to reach out to learn how you can get involved. Are you a business wanting to better navigate the current landscape and still tap into top quality, multilingual talent? Are you a workforce development provider looking to ensure better access to your services? Are you a service provider needing stronger partnerships to better support immigrant communities? Are you looking for strategies, best practices, and technical knowledge around immigration and how best to serve or attract/retain talent? If the answer is yes to any of these, reach out to us.
To learn more how immigrants are growing the region’s economy and cultural vibrancy, we encourage you to check out our new podcast- Roots, Routes, and Voices That Shape America. Each week we are launching a new episode, so check back to hear great stories.
To celebrate the power of welcoming communities and get engaged, we invite you to our annual event on September 12th at Cincinnati Music Hall: Cincinnati Compass Presents Cincinnati Rhythm. Food will be provided by 6 different chefs from Findlay Kitchen. We are happy to announce that we will be joined by the Cultural Centre of India, Ijo Ugo and Son del Caribe, providing interactive and joyful entertainment. We will recognize business and community leaders making an impact in the region and you may come across some of our guests from the podcast. Get your tickets early as we anticipate it selling out.
