2024 Hispanic Legislative Visit Day
The Ohio Latino Affairs Commission cordially invites you to Hispanic Legislative Visit Day on Thursday April 25th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Ohio State House. We are inviting all Latino/Hispanic business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and students to connect with their Ohio Legislators to discuss issues that are important to the Hispanic/Latino Community. This event is open to the public, free of charge, with breakfast and lunch provided. We also invite community members that are not Hispanic or Latino to attend.
While community members have the opportunity to connect with legislators and speak to them over issues that matter to them, we will also be hosting several workshops and panels in the realm of advocacy, behavioral health, education, minority business development, heart health, and social justice and racial equity. We are also thrilled to welcome on behalf of Secretary Cardona, Melody Gonzales, Executive Director of the Office of the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity to deliver our Keynote address. We encourage you to invite other community members that you believe can benefit from this opportunity.
